Project Details
Ufinity was engaged by MOE to build the Student Learning Space (SLS) from the ground up in 2016. SLS provides students with access to high quality curriculum aligned resources. It also provides tools to teachers to create new learning experiences in class.
In April 2020, Ufinity successfully scaled up SLS to handle the entire student and teacher population in Singapore. This allowed education to proceed in Singapore despite the Circuit Breaker in effect to reduce Covid-19 cases.
Beyond developing and implementing the system, we work closely with MOE and GovTech and contributed actively to the growth of the ecosystem through a range of services:
- agile development and regular releases
- help desk feedback loops
- classroom studies
- user interviews
- UX workshops
- product conversations with MOE officers.
Impact
- A portal that is used by all the students and teachers in Singapore during the pandemic when classes were conducted via Home-based learning.
- Frequency of blended learning being integrated into the classroom increased with the use of SLS.
